Build confidence using Finnish in everyday situations and at work
This summer-format program supports participants in developing basic Finnish language skills needed for everyday situations and simple workplace communication.
The goal is to help participants manage common interaction situations more independently, initiate conversations more confidently, and build a practical foundation for further language development (A1โA2 level).
The program supports communication both in working life and daily life in Finland, helping participants function more naturally in their environment.
During the program, participants develop the ability to
- introduce themselves and share basic personal information
- use and understand the most common everyday words and expressions
- ask and answer simple questions using short sentences
- understand simple workplace instructions and requests
- write short messages
- manage everyday situations such as shopping, food, health, and transportation
- describe their workday and tasks in simple terms
- use essential grammar structures, including verb base forms, present tense, simple sentence structures, and the most common cases
The program builds a strong practical foundation for continued Finnish language development.
